Measles!  (New!)
Recently the ministry of health has launched a national campaign to immunize all children with measles vaccine.
The reason being that Lebanon remains one of the countries to have measles prevalent all year round, in addition
to the fact that recently many cases of measles and rubella are seen in the community.
The ministry of health recommends giving the following:
Measles vaccine to all children at the end of their ninth month of age,
Combined measles, mumps and rubella vaccine at 13 to 15 months of age,
Booster at 4 to 6years of age.
If you have children in those age groups and who have not received their immunization yet this is a good time to do so.
If you think your child has received some of the vaccines recommended, please ask your pediatrician for advice.
Asthma is a balancing act!  (New!)
What happens when you also suffer from Allergic Rhinitis?
Are you asthmatic?
Are you sneezing? Do you have a runny or a blocked nose?
Does your nose itch even when you don't have a common old?
If you do, you may be suffering from allergic rhinitis related to your asthma.
Asthma and allergic rhinitis are related conditions affecting the same respiratory system.
If left untreated allergic rhinitis can often make asthma worse.
Remember to report symptoms of allergic rhinitis to your doctor at your next asthma follow-up visit.
Treatments are now available for the management of asthma and allergic rhinitis symptoms. Ask your doctor about them!
Keep you balance, and keep living!
