Hemoptysis
Hemoptysis means coughing blood. Blood leaks into the airways, preventing adequate breathing. It can occur with systemic diseases, lung cancer, and certain anomalies of the lung vessels.
Speedy and proper diagnosis is essential in the management of hemoptysis. Clemenceau Medical Center puts at the disposition of the pulmonary specialist a wide spectrum of diagnostic tools such as advanced Chest CT Scan and bronchoscopy. Patients may need mechanical ventilation awaiting the definitive treatment of the underlying disease.
