Dr. Mohamad Hajjar earned his M.D. with distinction from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 1994 and completed a five-year General Surgery residency at AUB Medical Center (1994–1999). In recognition of his excellence, he received the AUB Alumni Surgical Society of North America Award at the American College of Surgeons meeting in 1998. He then completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic, Robotic, and Bariatric Surgery at North Shore University Hospital–NYU School of Medicine in New York (2000–2002). After practicing in Lebanon (2002–2008) and pioneering advanced laparoscopic and bariatric procedures, he moved to Saudi Arabia, where he spent 17 years, serving as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Specialized Medical Center in Riyadh.

Dr. Hajjar has performed over 7,600 surgical procedures, with extensive expertise in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, anti-reflux surgery, gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery, and a wide range of minimally invasive procedures. His skill set includes laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, splenectomy, hernia repair, as well as thyroid and breast surgery. He is recognized for leadership in surgical practice, innovation in minimally invasive techniques, and high-volume clinical experience across complex general and bariatric surgeries.
